  sijainti - The Hostal Gat Raval was a fantastic place from which to explore Barcelona. The location and indeed the street Joaqim Costa are excellent. On leaving the Hostal there is a buzz about, cafes, bars and restaurants are easy to find and have an air of cool without being pretentious. The hostal is very clean and welcoming.   Very cheap, simple accommodation but with good basic facilities (and good towels). Convenient for local bird sanctuary, for those with a car. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to town centre for meals, etc. - Owner was very friendly. They also run a restaurant downstairs. Other good restaurant just around the corner. Excellent value for money.
