  We used it as an overnight stay on our way back to Madrid airport. Impressed with accommodation and, gardens. Really enjoyed the set evening meal. We don't speak much Spanish but Nieves who doesn't speak much English tried very hard to ensure that we enjoyed ourselves. - Very nice venue, great accomodation and outstanding value for money.   Excellent modern interior decor while maintaining the rustic, medieval exterior. We booked a superior room which was probably worth the extra. The senora was most welcoming, friendly and helpful. Location next to the old castle, now a Parador, the Plaza Mayor and many of the other 16th century buildings.

  The hotel is an easy drive from Cuenca and surrounding beauty spots. The village setting is quiet with no "tourist" attractions, the village restaurant was recommended, but we didn't use it as we ate in Cuenca. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice family run hostal and facilities were good although we didnt use the spa. The family didnt speak english but we still felt welcome and enjoyed our stay.Extremely good value for money. Great for travellers/backpackers. Not too far from shops and bars, also close enough for the visit to the casas colgadas.
