  The room was nicely decorated and the mattresses were the most comfortable we slept in during our trip in Spain. We found it very diifficult to get up in the morning! Toledo is a really small city so even Alcazar, which is across town, was more accessible than I'd anticipated from reading other reviews.   Staff apart from check in staff we very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we did not have the room we booked - a double room . When I requested a double room I was told it was not possible and offered and upgrade to a suite costing an extra €96 !!! The hotel was by no means full and saw this purely as up sell - very unhelpful and opportunist . The staf - Fantastic to stay in such a historic building but with all mod cons. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location at Almagro is great - a lovely town with lots going on. We did park onsite but were lucky to get a space in the shade as there were not many spaces and no facility to book a place. We had dinner out in the patio which was very good and the staff were very efficient despite being very busy because of the fiesta. Great stay.
