  Nice little gem that would deserve a more attractive surrounding. We just had a stopover on our way from Priorat to Rioja, and, well, Alcañiz is not that interesting. Sort of a grim blue-collar town with nothing much to offer. But then again, this ain't no review of Alcañiz - Villa Monter is quite flawless.   Very interesting and pretty facility - restored to how it was when a monastery. The park is absolutely wonderful, and do be ready to start your hike right at 9:00 when it opens to avoid the crowds.
