We got engaged a few days before we got to casa de san martin, we couldnt ask for more, as we discovered one of the most romantic places we have ever been to.
Every little detail was so well thought of and wherever you look you couldn't avoid the Attention that was given to the design. It was an absolute delight to stay at Hotel La Casuena. The hotel is in a small and very attractive village above a lake a few kilometres from the top of Portalet pass. We had a GREAT time at la casueña and the owners did It even better... They are sooo lovely. Fantastic breakfast with all kind of detail and good taste for food and decoration. We Used the bicycles to have a ride through the montains!! WOOW! No words to describe It! And the house is in a small beautiful village! Not to be missed!! We Will come back for sure! Unique style. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. There are only four rooms and a small restaurant/bar, but the owners made such an effort to make us comfortable. The food was first rate and service attentive. Each of the rooms are individually decorated and immaculately presented, for the money you wont beat this small enterprise.

The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was very pleasant with plenty of hot water.
