  We had some problem the first night: they booked a room for us in another hotel 'cause we were in sort of overbooking. But from the second day the stay was great. To apologize they leave us one of the best room (and for a day more), give us breakfast for free (at the bar nearby) and discount part of the ammount. There's two different guest houses in nearby buildings, one is rather communal backpacker style and the other is quieter. I was in the former (without knowing what I was getting into), and they were easy going about moving me into the latter. Good kitchen set up. The backpacker place was actually pretty nice for that sort of thing, just not what I was looking for (I'm a bit older than that now, and like my peace and quiet!).

  Terrific location for first visit to Barcelona - walked everywhere. Excellent building with elevator. Kitchen open all day for easy access to refrig, coffee, etc. - I loved the fact that the breakfast was laid out in a kitchen that was open to all guests all day. It made it feel as though you were staying in a home.

It also had a nice balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful and offered good sightseeing tips.

I definitely recommend to those on a budget. - Location of the hotel was perfect, I was able to get to every place I wanted to see by foot (La Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, Plaza de Toros, Cathedral, beach, ...). Hotel room was very nice equiped and clean. Stuff speaks very well english and is prepared do give you advice anytime.
