  My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Colon hotel and would recomend this hotel as an excellent central location to explore Barcelona. You are right in the centre but yet in a very quiet peacful location just off La Rambla ideal for all restaurants, the bus tours etc which are a must for anybody visiting the city. The hotel itself is beautiful and kept up. Our room was lovely with a terrace overlooking the Cathedral. Staff was very accommodating and recommended excellent restaurants.   The apartment is located in the centre of Barcelona (close to the cathedral). It's a proper apartment for two people or maybe three if you don't have any problems sleeping on a couch. The interior is okay for you won't stay too long insinde the apartment. There is a TV (we didn't used it and a good music station for iphone ....).

  We had some problem the first night: they booked a room for us in another hotel 'cause we were in sort of overbooking. But from the second day the stay was great. To apologize they leave us one of the best room (and for a day more), give us breakfast for free (at the bar nearby) and discount part of the ammount. The place is in a great position, the room was clean and quiet, just little bit dark - The place was super clean. The interieur was modern and cosy, and the matresses were excellent for sleeping. Great location for sightseeing, shopping, or beach.
