  Hotel Sa Calma is a gorgeous hotel and we had an extremely relaxing stay there. The staff was excellent and made us feel very welcome our entire stay. They have a chess and a backgammon table in a beautiful sitting area and it was great to see my two older boys having a blast challenging each other in a game of chess upon our arrival.   L'Aixart is a gem of a place that is hard to explain. There are only 4 rooms and they are a little more hostel like than hotel like. Outside of the rooms, this is a great property that has an awesome lounge in a great area of Costa Brava. I drove in late, and the owner of the hostel offered to make me dinner from the kitchen, even though the restaurant was almost closed. The menu is fantastic. All the dishes were excellently prepared, making this a hotel that you don't need to wander far from. The room itself was comfortable and clean, with a big shared deck in front (there are only 4 rooms total, so it's still very peaceful and mellow). My room had a gorgeous view of the ocean as well.
