  I loved everything about Hostal Es Bas. From the minute my friend and I arrived the staff were nothing but friendly and helpful. The location was great, only steps away from the beach and it was so great to wake up to an ocean view each morning. The breakfasts on the terrace were wonderful as well.   L'Aixart is a gem of a place that is hard to explain. There are only 4 rooms and they are a little more hostel like than hotel like. Outside of the rooms, this is a great property that has an awesome lounge in a great area of Costa Brava. All the dishes were excellently prepared, making this a hotel that you don't need to wander far from. The room itself was comfortable and clean, with a big shared deck in front (there are only 4 rooms total, so it's still very peaceful and mellow). My room had a gorgeous view of the ocean as well.
