  In my view this hotel should have a higher rating. The room was much bigger than I expected and the bed was huge. The window opened to a view of the street which is interesting. Of course there are the many and varied shopping malls in the area but tjk is known for it's food and the Santa Grand places you dead in the middle. The staff from the front desk to housekeeping are wonderful, they are knowledgeable, helpful, professional and most of all just fun folks, a great place.

  "Premier" rooms cost only a bit more than standard rooms and are spacious and lovely. Everything about this hotel is spiffy, modernistic and friendly. It was totally renovated in early 2013. (It was formerly a run-down Hotel 81.) I saw a comment that this was near night clubs and maybe not suitable to solo female travellers. I would not agree.   The rooms were comfortable and clean. All in all it was a good value for the price we paid. Not far from the city. Less than $10 cab fare to most places we went. Staff was helpful in finding places to eat since we have Shellfish allergies in the family. - The staff was very hospitable and attended to my familiy at almost instantaneous speed.

  I took 1 night here, for stopover from Auckland to Kuala Lumpur. This place was nice. First of all, this backpacker is near from changi airport($18 by taxi from backpacker to changi airport, including 50% midnight surcharge), but also near from clarke quay. Lastly, the price was reasonable, and the room was clean and cool :) Thanks! - I loved the place. Very comfortable beds. 15 min walk to the metro. There's food places and a mini mart along the way or nearby. Very safe environment even when back late. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The environment was very relaxed which was awesome. I would definitely stay there again and recommend my friends too.
