  My husband and I spent 5 days at the Datai. I've stayed in many hotels over the years but I can honestly say, that I enjoyed my stay at the Datai more than any other hotel I've ever stayed in. I felt a sense of peace being close to nature and the sea. All the staff were wonderful and couldnt do enough to make our stay comfortable.   The location. If you stayed in the rooms which is facing the sea, oh my its such a wonderful place with a great view of the sea, the yachts and also the nearby islands. Do request for rooms facing the sea if you plan to stay there. Location wise, it's also well placed. To be honest, the room is not so great. But it does its job o - Swimming Pool with slides makes the stay memorable for the kids. Kids love the pools. The seaview scenery facing Kuah jetty so breathtaking during sunrise and sunset. Staff are friendly and reliable as well. My mum accidently left her shopping items in the hotel room. The hotel housekeeping staff were honest and kept our items for later collection. The water pressure is good.   We liked everything about this hotel and Langkawi! They let us check in early which was very good after spending the previous night in KLIA airport. The staff were friendly and helped book tours and the transfers. The beach is 15 minutes walking from the hotel, but is very nice since this is the private beach of Berjaya resort.
