  I will remember this place as the one of the best I stayed in Japan. Staff was awesome and very helpful, room was big and we had a great view on the Hakone mountains. There is also onsen that is open 24/7.   it was my first time to Japan and this was a grat experience as very typical and not western - slipers, tatami mats, paper walls, really cute. The best of all - private onsen. - The Ryokan was very typical, and the hot springs were very relaxing. The owner had poor English but was very helpful

  Fuji-Hakone guesthouse is very popular and they were fully booked when I visited. Their staff are friendly and can speak English very well. 2 of them have been to Singapore. Their bath facilities are private and you can book the private onsen for half hour. Good to book early since it can be maxed out pretty quickly. Breakfast is an additional 800 yen, consisting of c - Loved the setting and the homely atmosphere at the guest house. There was only a double room available but wanted to see the area so much I booked which cost double the single price. When the staff found this out, they gave me free breakfast and use of the outdoor onsen for free which I did not expect. Very generous and would definitely stay again if visiting the sites at Hakone/
