The location was excellent, close to the centre of Sorrento and the main shopping areas.5 mins from train and bus station.Clean towels /linen daily. Breakfast adequate. The hotel was central to shopping, restaurants , drop off point for the shuttle from the port about a 100 m walk and about 300m to the station.
The rooms were clean, reasonably large , breakfast had a god variety and choice , over all the hotel was good value for money for the budget conscious.
It walking distance train terminar and marina piccola were you can take
a ferry to Capri or Napoli ,if you have to fly from Rome to us in
aternoon is a bus that depart at 06;00 am by the train station to Rome
Tiburtina train station ,also close to plaza Tasso.
Great location to access downtown area with friendly helpful staff.
Hotel was "old school", clean and charming inside. Pool was
great to hang out at during the day or take a dip after trekking around.
We had a lovely, very clean room with a balcony, we had everything we needed and more. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. We will be staying at this hotel again when we are in Sorrento.
Staff, cleanliness and location lack of facilities in room to make
coffee combined with hotel not leto provide us with coffee on our
checking out day due.
Loved the sea views from our window and thought that the garden area
with pool was very peaceful and relaxing Our room was very adequate for

Lovely view of Mt Vesuvius. Huge room, very clean and comfortable,
location was excellent, off the beaten path but close to everything.

This was a great hotel. Very good location. Easy to get to most everything n Sorrento. Friendly and helpful staff.
We loved the seaside view. Pillows were uncomfortable but the bathroom
although small had been newly updated.

In a country with fruit growing in the gardens we get tinned fruits and juice from concentrate for Breakfast.Chief downer was a pong which developed in the bathroom after the first few days especially early in am. yet everything was quite new there.
Lousy coffee.
The taxi no take you to the hotel for the proximity you may need it for
the luggage.At the hotel if ask for ice for your room they charge
3.00 euros.
No internet in the rooms but from our room over looking the bay we were
able to log on to a next door hotel.
Bathroom no coffee/breakfast provided on last day. We were early in
checking out but at other hotels we have been offer breakfast to take
away or even simple coffee.
I think breakfast needs a re-think Very poor quality fruit and tinned
fruit are not what people expect Hard-boiled eggs hit & miss.
Solution - charge a little more and up the quality !.
Had to keep the windows open because the air conditioning was not yet
turned on. We were there on a weekend and the restaurant next door
was outrageously noisy- patrons were outside and kept us up until
after 3 am.
Wifi only in lobby. Had to sit there and do the daily Internet activities.

Outside of hotel needed a little TLC.
Pillows and getting back and forth to Sorrento can be confusing. We took
the City bus and taxi to hotel for about $45 e total. Taxi was $120.

Equipement too old. The stocket is too small for European standard plug. And they don't have any change-over plug for customer.
Four stars is too much for this hotel.
Did not like the fact the pool was closed for the winter already. Would
have loved a kettle in the room to make a cup of tea!.
Bathroom tiny and very tired looking - shower curtain hopeless so floor always awash! Balconies very public to neighbouring rooms. Walls very thin could hear all movement next door and bathroom use.
If you travel woth car is there no parking in the hotell, and its very expencive in Sorrento to park a car. Round 24 euro/24 h. Minimum!.

Good option for budget but there are much nicer hotel options in Sorrento, I wouldn't recommend if you want somewhere special to stay.
Sorrento generally we were disappointed with, too touristy for our liking. We found more beautiful places to visit.
Hotel's overall conditions are fairly poor. not fresh anymore. need urgent refurbishment to represent Carlton name as it should be!.
The hotel is very very dated. The shower is so rediculously small I nearly hung myself with the hose and frying pan sized shower head. the bathroom floor tiles are dangerously slippery when wet. No fresh fruit at the skimpy breakfast. The coffee is very poor quality.
must have been a bus stop out front for tours because at 4 am there was a huge group of people super loud you could hear. staff wasn't that willing to help out on our stay and we paid extra for a room with balcony, which was not worth it, pretty good view but nothing special and balcony very small. not worth the money spent here, outdated.
