Rita (granddaughter of original owner) is lovely, helpful, friendly, and enthusiastically committed to service. What more can you want? This hotel is located very conveniently to the Greek archeological ruins at Paestum. 'A pleasant ten minute (or less) walk. The grounds are lovely. We traveled here by local bus from Salerno. The bus driver agreed to drop us as close as his route would take us...but he didn't know the exact location. He and other passengers figured it out. If you're arriving by.
kaikki arvostelut » Lovely hotel with a comfortable family room. The pool was enjoyed after a hot day exploring. The staff was very helpful and even found a ball so my sons could play soccer in the soccer field. The free bikes were a nice touch and allowed us to have an early morning ride past the beautiful ruins right next door as well as the buffalo farm. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel as well. The breakfast in the morning had a good variety so everyone was happy (I particularly enjoyed the buffalo milk yogurt). We loved the staff. Rita was so helpful and welcoming. We arrived via train and were hungry. The staff served us an impromptu lunch that was divine; local cheese, tomatoes and prosciutto. The ruins are so close that within a few minutes walking you're there, but we suggest riding the bikes offered for guest use. What fun! The hotel is at the end of a wonderful tree lined drive that seems to separate you from the rest of the planet. An oasis between wonderful Greek ruins and the Mediterranean. L. We are on a trip with all 4&5 star hotels and B&B's and so far Villarita is the best. The grounds are spectacular. The owners very friendly and helpful. They lent us some bikes for free. We really enjoyed our stay. This is a family owned and cherished hotel - we visited mid Sept and were very quiet - food was simple but really excellent ; understated, very relaxed, very competent. Un-Italian customer service - we couldn't find that again !. Charming Hotel within walking distance to the Greek ruins. Rooms are not large, but very clean and well furnished. I would certainly stay here again. Nothing. Noisy room. Nothing. We had a room in the annexe and the walls are very thin - we were kept awake all night by the snoring of the next door guest! Also the mattress was rather too firm for comfort. Not a good night's sleep. The farm next door had been muck spreading the day we arrived so the atmosphere was a bit ripe!. The inside is a little bit outdated.
