  This hotel was quite simply one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. The sheer delight of being in such a historic building, beautifully restored with spacious rooms and excellent facilities was a treat not to be missed. Room perfectly suited our needs - staff responded to booking request to provide room away from noise.

  From the moment we arrived in the hotel we were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of Luigi at reception. He was very pleasant. The rooms were of authentic Italian design although one of our rooms was quite small it was still adequate for our 2 night stay in Florence. The beds were comfortable and the air con was super. We ate in two restaurants close - This hotel is in a spectacular building and location. I stayed here based on the reviews of the roof terrace, and it was just as wonderful as others stated.
