  It was just lovely. Rose and Michael were great hosts with plenty of local knowledge. With our car safely parked (for free!) outside, the bus stop is a 2 min walk away and takes about 10-15 mins to get into Dublin City Centre. I would recommend to everyone to stay here if you want a quieter setting but still be very close to town center. Also they have a beautiful outside garden area and the flowers are just beautiful.

  I found Egans to be the best possible combination of a 'chain' hotel and a private guest house. It was comfortable - especially the communal lounge area - clean, and nicely decorated, with very helpful staff. My room had everything I needed and was very good value for my 30 euros. The buffet breakfast set me up nicely for the rest of the day. I'll be back. - We rented a room for 5 people. It was a full size bed, and 3 twin beds crammed together in a very small room. We only stayed one night here, so being crammed together one night was no big deal. We had our own bathroom plus there was a public bathroom right outside of our door. The lady at the desk was very helpful and informative. She told us of our various options of getting into the city, which is a good distance away.

  The price was good and the location was reasonable with plenty of free parking. The guy was friendly and did his best to welcome us. Breakfast was reasonable (tea/coffee and toast) but for the price we paid for the room you can't really expect much more. Nothing was a bother. He was really good with all of the guests, going by what I witnessed. I would definitely stay there again. He cooked a wonderful breakfast each day and made excellent dining and attraction advice. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
