We arrived some hours before the estimated arrival but just a few less minutes after a phone call, the host showed up and were friendly welcome. The guest house was unattended due to the fact that we were the only guests at that time. We had a "Double Room with Shared Bathroom" (for 75 EUR/night) and the pictures on the website do match with the on-site location. The private water boiler was absolutely clean. There are enough private parking spaces available - even they are somehow shared toget.

The proprietor (Orri) is very friendly, he catered for all my needs and offered an excellent level of service. The guesthouse is modern and clean and offered very good value for money. It is situated within easy walking distance to two or three exceptional restaurants by the side of the harbour and is just metres from the bus station for travelling to Reykjavic or further afield. My stay was comfortable and I wou. Our host, Edda, was very kind and helpful. She gave us much information and help in finding areas of interest in Hrafnafjordur. Breakfast was excellent and everything was clean and tidy. Thank you to Edda for her kindness and for a positive experience. nice room under the roof (we had luck and got a spacious and nice 4-bed room as couple), comfortable bed, nice breakfast (with tasty jams...and bread); friendly breakfast service. Convenient location with our Sad Car Rental, close to Reykjavik and the highways to the airport, to the Golden Circle and to the Island Big Circle. The lady owner was friendly. The hostess was very accommodating and friendly. Wonderful stay and exceptionally clean facilities. Excellent facilities in the room including a TV, desk, sink, and very comfortable bed. Great price, good shower. The room was comfortable and it was in a good location. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Location, breakfast, friendly staff. As an older couple, we prefer a private bath. little kitchen for breakfast, too small for all the guests; it could be very noisy, depending among others on the behaviour of the other guests (house is very clairaudient), you heard noises of the waterpipes in this room (earplugs are recommended for sensitives to noise) it seems more like backpackers stay. A little noisy however location. Central location can mean noise at night if people decide to hang around nearby (in my case skateboarders). Nothing to moan about. There was no staff to meet us. It seemed more like a hostel than a guesthouse. No beach view as there is a big apartment building blocking the view. No staff on-site to ask for directions to places. For check-in the cleaning girl happened to be there so she was able to let us in but the next morning the lady that rents the hotel showed up insisting we pay right away, she couldn't wait until we finished our breakfast. Far from places, need a car. The wood floors made it very loud when people moved around. No signs in front of the hotel with the name. The guesthouse has literally paper walls (but this is a problem of many icelandic guesthouses...) so be prepared to hear a lot from neigbouring room as well as every time someone closes the door. We had some difficulties because we did not speak Icelandic and did not plan our trip well in advance. This was no fault of our hosts though. We did have some difficulties getting into the front door when we returned late at night. The keys and locks situation could be improved...
