We stayed at the Happy Cretan for three nights and the only bad thing I have to say is that we didn't have more time there. The hotel setting was absolutely gorgeous! The rooms were fresh and clean along with being eco-friendly. I rarely take the time to write reviews but Megaron was so exceptional that I felt compelled to comment. The service, room, breakfast buffet are extraordinary! It's the first all-female run 5-star hotel I've stayed in from manager, dining maitre d' to porters. We stayed there for one night, on September 9th. This is not the place if you're looking for endless parties and sandy beaches. It is actually away in the mountains (although about 20 kms to Iraklio), so it's ideal to relax while enjoying great views. Breakfast was excellent.
