  Charming and helpful hosts. Very comfortable room in lovely family house - very quiet too. Location excellent as within walking distance of centre and restaurants, and not far from the hospital where we had an appointment early the next morning. Parking was easy and nearby - essential as we had our dog with us! The hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating, with the hotel itself bursting with character and charm.

  La villa Garenne is a wonderful guesthouse for a stay in Vannes as it is very close to the old city and to the port (the city itself justifies a visit). The house is nicely renovated, rooms are charming, beds are comfortable, the owner is nice and helpful and a good breakfast is offered. Truly recommended. Although very well situated, it was not e... mitä ihmiset sanovat » asy to find (even with GPS), therefore if you have trouble to get there, the best way is to look for St.Joseph’s Parking (a free public parking close - La Villa Garenne is a perfectly situated, fully renovated historic home with access to the medieval walled city of Vannes right across the street. The room was lovely and the bed so comfortable. We were served homemade yogurt, fresh croissants and pastries, coffee, tea and juice in a lovely dining room before setting out for the rest of our journey. The proprietors could not have been more charming or helpful. Would definitely highly recommend.

He is also accommodating in that he allowed us to have cheese and wine on the patio in the evening and provided plates and glasses.
