We have stayed at fine châteaux in the Loire Valley, but this one is far
superior, and at half the price. The welcome here is as warm as any
homecoming. And the newly-opened restaurant is a gourmand's
paradise; even the pâtè foie gras is made right on the estate. The bed-
chambers are grand, with four-posters in some of the rooms that Louis

The staff was outstanding. Excellent English skills for those of us who's French is not up to snuff. Staff was very friendly and had many suggestions for things to do. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the new restaurant. The facility was very clean & comfortable. Everything was in perfect working order. The proximity to the chateau Beynac was fantastic, set in the old village at the foot of this awesome castle. The river Dordogne was only steps away and it was lovely having a meal in their restaurant which is right beside the river.
