This was our first family ski holiday. Our children are 5 & 8. We booked lessons for us all. The location was perfect to walk to ski lift every morning. There was a nice sledge area by our chalet. Pool was clean & nice area to relax after skiing.

Staff are all on board and enthusiastic. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The spa and pool is a treat after skiing. The location is not a problem because of the efficient shuttle service.

Perfect if you seek to escape from crowds. It was great value for money. (especially if compared with Chamonix and Argentieres). The cable car just oposite the hotel takes you to 1900 meters perfect for the untrained walkers, and perfect for those who seek easy panoramic walks with great views on the mont blanc range. Nice indoor pool. English speaking staff. A 10 min walk along the river takes you to the nearby farm/restaurant allowing you to leave the car parked all day.

The Amara/Amena was in general a nice new complex and the service was good. Good parking under the complex. Good access to slopes. Restaurants in the area quite good but a bit expensive. Le Lodge served a very nice lunch duck skewer.
