The decor is lovely - an old style hotel but beautifully maintained. The staff was very helpful and made us feel welcome. The hotel is almost opposite the train station so is very convenient.   This was absolutely beautiful experience. The place itself is magic, full of history, however nicely kept/remodeled with the respect of Medieval style. The panoramic views were breathtaking. There is a clean large pool overlooking the castle. We also splurged for a luxury dinner.   Rooms are a good size, modern and the location is excellent. Ask for a room on the river side. Town is a short walk and parking was free and in plentiful supply when we went in August. The restaurant is very good but not the best option if your children are not gourmet eaters. Our room was very comfortable and clean. A fridge in the room was useful. We had a balcony overlooking the river and we enjoyed the swimming pool and loungers. Would recommend the restaurant, had an excellent meal. But book early as terrace space soon gets taken. Free parking is a bonus.
