  Enjoyed 3 nights of luxury during 5 weeks in France. Loved the quiet location (car GPS needed to find it the first time), but only a short drive into Carcassonne. Our junior suite was huge with contemporary but classic décor; separate shower & big bath, and toilet; king-size bed; block out shutters & thick walls so we slept well. Restaurant on-site run separately with good food & goo - We received an excellent welcome from the owner who supplied us with full information about the area which we wouldn't have got from a travel book. The chateau has been restored into a contemporary hotel with excellent fittings and wi fi. Our suite was very large, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is about an 8 minute drive from Carcassonne. It is worth visiting the Canal du Midi at Trebes and the picturesque Legrasse.

  The hotel was in an excellent and beautiful location, literally at the bottom of the hill at the entrance to the castle. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and they all spoke great English. My boyfriend and I (we are both 24yrs old) visited the hotel spa during our stay for a back massage which was lovely - I highly recommend.   We love to stay in this apartment as the room is spacious with many kitchen equipments (except water boiler). My dad could take care of himself with cooking tools while my mom and I were not around. It was pretty big the apartment for my famility to stay (couple + 1yr old baby + 3 yrs. old child). The location was perfect. Very close to the castle. The access is very good to go walking.   The staff at aragon were really friendly so even though we were unlucky with the weather they lent us umbrellas. The location is excellent a 2 minute walk to the medieval castle entrance. The hotel was very well kept with a lovely clean pool area and hotel rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. I cannot fault aragon. - The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. The bedroom on the first floor looked out on the Old City & the view was stupendous day or night. The swimming pool was faultless and a sun-trap for those who want it with some shaded areas. The hotel was very close to the Old City and a five minute walk away. The city of Carcassonne was a twenty minute walk into town and the car was not required after arrival.

  Being an apparthotel we had complete flexibility to "eat in" rather than find a restaurant every night as there was a small and surprisingly well-equiped kitchenette with all that we needed in the way of utensils for light meal preparation; this also made our stay in Cacassonne very economical. The indoor pool and sauna were a bonu - The hotel has a large internal parking available and is within walking distance from the medieval city. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment and it was very clean and spacious, with a large balcony and a stunning view of the fortified ramparts. The bathroom was well-furnished and immaculate.
