  I had stayed at this small, friendly Hotel St Claire on my last trip and was very happy to return as I find the staff exceptionally welcoming, attentive and happy to help (in English and/or French as you wish). I like its pleasingly light, stylish decor, with rooms designed to be calm and restful. Hotel is only approx. 700m from train station..4 blocks down Alle Jean Jarres and 1 block in. Easy to find. Nice breakfast in the morning too. We loved our stay here. Would definitely go back.

The air-conditioner worked perfectly.   The hotel was clean, secure (including the car park arrangements) and well organised. We shared with friends who used the fold out bed in the lounge, so it needs a bit of organisation for privacy, which was fine. Other reviews refer to an 'unsafe' area. A good 20 minutes walk to the centre, more if you stop at shops and cafes, but metro is - Privilege Appart was very convenient. Also the secure parking was very useful. The apartment was fully equipped with everything needed to eat in.

Toulouse itself is full of prostitutes, and the hotels location doesn't let it down for those either, but once inside, it's a beacon of tranquility and safety, including having secure underground parking.
