  The location of the hotel was superb. Right in the heart of the LatinQuarter. The hotel staff was very helpful. The rooms decorated nicelyand extremely quiet to our delight. The breakfast, which is included ,was fantastic! I would recommend this hotel and I would definetly stayhere again. - The front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful.

  For the most part, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. I was booked under the wrong name but the staff on duty promptly fixed that error and helped me check in. The staff member that I mention below then showed me to the room I was staying in and answered all my questions well. The other guests in the room were very quiet. The lobby was as clean as it could be considering the amount of people checking in and out. No trash just luggage.   We spent 4 nights in the Nelligan and rate this amongst the best of our hotel experiences anywhere. Rooms were spacious and well furnished (exposed brickwork is very stylish). All of the staff we spoke to were extremely helpful and spoke both French and English fluently. Yes, you'll pay a bit more for this hotel but it's def - We loved the feel of the hotel and the way it had been renovated to keep the charm of the exposed bricks and stone. The hotel is located right in the heart of Old Montreal and it is within easy walking distance of great restaurants, bars, art galleries, historic sights and the waterfront. We look forward to staying there again and again.

While it's not the newest hotel (not luxury) the bed was very comfortable, the rooms large and the pool/hot tub very nice. The location was also wonderful. St. Catherine st and it's shopping was also walking distant - After tired of eating hamburgers we found ourselves in the hotel within very short walking distance to restaurants in China Town. This is the big advantage if you have a Chinese stomach. The location is excellent, within walking distance to Via station, airport shuttle buses, old town, cruise terminal and lots of churches. Two queen beds room is very large.
