  A comfortable hotel - the room was quite large and comfortable. It had an old world atmosphere, but had everything you need. Although it was school holidays, and quite full, it was very quiet. Our room had a view over the pool (weather too cold for swimming) to the golf course. It was very pretty to see the leaves on the trees change colour. Dinner at the Jasmine Restaur - I love the privacy of where it is situated, it is family friendly as well as gay/lesbian friendly. The breakfast buffet is excellent. I especially love the surrounding gardens and the fact that you can wander around at your own pace and sit at the many different situated tables/chairs with a bottle of wine or a beer and relax.

  The setting was great, shame about the weather. The dinner in the dining room on Saturday evening was exceptional. The food and service was outstanding even with 3 large separate parties. - The setting, the area close to the open fire. The Buffet Breakfast. The cafe as a place to enjoy a coffee .   We managed to secure a great rate as we stayed for almost 5 nights due to a work conferences. The location for the hotel was perfect for us and was easy walking distance to the Golf Course and thye function venue The staff were very helpful and friendly and very informative. The location is great and the autumn trees in the garden spectacular.. Having been disappointed last time and on reading the previous reviews we were a bit cautious on arrival. However the room was OK. It was good to find that the sheets were new and fresh. Generally all was well except I had to go down to Reception to obtain English Breakfast tea bags and another wine glass. i The room was in good order;

  I liked that the Metropole is in the middle of town and is close to the railway station for those without a car. I liked the historic building with its lovely old, but well maintained structures, including the walkway from the back carpark to reception. It is a delight walking through the area with its ferns, goldfish, etc. - Location was great... mitä ihmiset sanovat » great. Close to all site seeing and also cheap great food and shops. Hotel was old school setting as well as modern which was great. I will be staying again later this year and will recommend this hotel to everyone going to the blue mountains.

  Absolutely everything! We were particularly impressed with the staff, who stuck just the right level of assistance -professional, friendly and helpful.The decor is beautiful. The lounge area relaxing and lovely in every way. Our room was absolutely delightful, very generous size, loved the decor, the beds and pillows very comfortable, not a sound ... mitä ihmiset sanovat » disturbing our sleep, our paper was left at our door in a purpose made bag; music came on within minutes of us getting into the indoor swimming pool. - We were there as the threat of a major bushfire approach. The staff were really helpful and on hand to help us, even though their houses were at risk. This is a great location for all of the sights. We requested something for the room and it was immediate. There is a good choice of food available

  The bed was very comfortble and the thick curtains was great for a sleep in. Also the double glazing on the windows made for a quiet night's stay, which was surprising as the Motel was reasonably close to the main road.   My husband and I got married at Yester Grange with our reception at Mountain Heritage on the 30 October. We had about 60 guests and many said it was a surreal experience because the view was so amazing. The hotel staff, Dean especially, ensured that the whole event went off so smoothly. We were so well looked after, the food was fantastic, the wine great, the rooms clean. Even the older Greek relatives - Loved the prepared fire-place, view fantastic from both our room and the dining room. Staff were helpful (and lovely to our 4 year old), and it was only a short walk to the shops, and bus to explore the area. Kept the historical feel but it's been well maintained...and modernised with fast efficient air-con etc. We have already recommended this place to our friends, and will be back!

Robbie wh - I recently stayed at the Carrington with a sibling. Our grandparents had honeymooned there in the 1920s. The olde world charm, sense of history and beautiful architectural features are so impressive. Scrabble in the Billiard room, reading in the Library, hot chocolate in the Main Lounge in front of an open fire. The magnificent leadlight windows and original paintings only enhance the hotel's unique beauty. I personally would never stay anywhere else while in Katoomba. The huge buffet breakfast

We loved the furniture, the fireplaces, pool table and the bar. We enjoyed a drink there before heading out to dinner. The location is ideal, beside the RSL and a quick walk to the centre of town.
