We upgraded to a small suite when we got there so that we could have a view of Mt. Rushmore and a balcony. It was worth the money and very accommodating. The hotel was within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Keystone and a short drive to the monument. We loved it and would definitely stay there again. We loved the room and staff! The man that checked us in did everything he could to find our reservation thru you that wasn't there. His name was Randy. He was excelllent.
todo comentarios » Great staff eager to please the clients. Jorge went out of his way to upgrade our reservation when we requested extra time at the hotel. It is really close to Mount Rushmore, the staff is friendly, helpful. The premises is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, great location - in parking lot and from 3rd floor you have a view of Mt. Rushmore itself and is a 5-minute drive. Up away from noise Nice rooms staff very helpful and helped us with our needs and answers to questions. Rooms were super small but location to Keystone was great! Staff were very helpful and friendly!. I liked the view of the surrounding area; room was comfortable had everything I needed. It was a nice, comfortable place to stay, and reasonably priced. Some reviews that were negative were not fair. For the price I was very satisfied. If I could have gotten a king bed I wud have been even more pleased. I knew it was not a luxury motel but its location and price made the motel very acceptable. I got a bit more than I paid for. Air conditioning was great. I don't ever want a stuffy room in the summer. Joy, who worked at the front desk, was fabulous. Joy was very cordial, very professional, and very helpful whenever we needed anything. The staff was very nice and helpful. Provided places to eat that were both good food and not too expensive. It was clean, the staff was friendly and it is close to Mount Rushmore and other Black Hills attractions. Location, Price, quick trip up to Mount Rushmore (5 mins plus or minus). Friendly Staff. That there was no breakfast with the room rate. Free coffee but no breakfast for the next morning. But we ate at the Cafe at Mt. Rushmore. That was awesome. We liked everything, close to the action. One thing was the climb to the hotel make it difficult to walk to Keystone shops. Really very satisfied no complaints. Rooms were SO small, pool was very cloudy. There's no room service or dining room. No continental breakfast, no on premises restaurant. Hot tub way too hot for comfort. no resturants. No coffee pot in room. Rooms were small but not a real big deal. We spent very little time in the room. The parking was ridiculous. It was very crowded, and the spaces were way too tight. Also, our ground floor room backed up to the parking lot, and the maids opened our window and LEFT it open for the day. Anyone could have come in from outside! Finally, though it was a beautiful location, it was an inconvenient location. The hotel is perched on a steep hill that makes it difficult to simply walk to the "strip" in Keystone. We will not stay here again. The beds were not comfortable and the room was much smaller than expected. Although it was close to Mount Rushmore it was far from non tourist trap restaurants and other activities. For $120 the room was very small, pillows flat, there is no breakfast and the wifi was spotty at best. Small Room. No breakfast. Misleading Name - certainly couldn't see Mount Rushmore from our room or parking lot. Room had a bad smell to it and was very small. County fair atmosphere that characterizes Keystone. No shampoo or lotions were provided. The housekeeping staff was rude and inconsiderate. No resturant on site. The front desk staff had an uncaring attitude. I will not stay there if I return to the area and I will advise others not to stay there as well. Pool was cold and Hot tub was cold and dirty. Rooms a bit small. Few amenities. No breakfast which takes away from the value of the stay. Front desk staff was somewhat snotty. Room was tiny, hardly no room for two small suitcases. Room very small. Small beds were low budget squeaky things. Despite the high rate there was no breakfast. Tacky signs and cheapness of hotel. room view was at rock wall. The room was especially small and not well cleaned. We both suffered spider bites and I killed 2 of them in my bed. Overpriced for such a small room with only coffee and no breakfast. They are just gauging the tourists. Our bathtub did not drain properly and it had long black hairs in it Neither my husband or I have dark hair or long hair!!. The beds were horrible. Blankets were paper thin and too small for the bed. No shampoo samples to use and nobody at front desk st 6:00 am to check us out. had to go to lobby to get ice/coffee. room was very small...had a musty odor...beds were small..carpet was very stained &felt dirty. No soap in the rooms and the room was dirty. High price for room size, outdated, dirty and no real amenities. Would not stay again. The first room we had was filthy. The carpet had not been vacumned and the bed linens were spotted and dirty. We asked for another room but even tho the room was somewhat cleaner it was still dingy and cramped. There was no room for our suitcases and very little room to move around between the 2 beds and the desk area. No shampoo was provided in either room.
