Lo que la gente dice
By far the most economical choice for lodging in Honolulu, made even
better by the fact that Marie actually gave us our last of four nights
free (albeit in a smaller room) after a mixup on the number of nights
we'd be staying. For those who'd rather spend money on things
besides lodging (after all, Hawaii is expensive), Makiki Heights is a
perfect option. Also, it is just up the hill from where Barry Obama was
born, learned to shoot hoops, worked at Baskin Robbins and went to prep
school. Thoug. todo comentarios »
The people are very helpful. You can ask for a ride to/from the
airport for $30. You are in the middle of the nature, very quiet.
10/15 min walk to the bus stop which will take you almost anywhere.
That we were free to come and go without time restrictions and were able to cook and do laundry right there. Also the gecko population is absolutely adorable and prolific there!.
It was far out of the city in a beautiful leafy area.
Staff was friendly,good value.
good value.
Staff.
The owner of this place was very nice and helpful. The place in general
have everything you need to spend a night.
No Waikiki atomosphere, although it is only 10-15 mins away from there.
Near hiking trails and short drive to food shopping.
The location outside of Waikiki was great, the bed was comfortable, plenty of tv channels, and it was nice to have access to a kitchen and free parking. The best part was the symphony of jungle bird sounds in the morning.
I liked that it was very cheap and it was convenient to pay for. Also
the staff was responsive to questions I had.
- was easy to access from wikiki
- front of the entrance of the trails in state park.
the location and marie.
quiet remote location.
the price.
the price.
It's not for those who closely guard their privacy and/or balk
at sharing bathroom facilities.
There was not actually wi-fi available at all times. Not sure why.
It was a long way to dinner.
Some cleanliness issues.
The accessibility is not very good if you don't have car. The
bathroom is shared for too many people and the place could be a bit
cleaner. We paid just 5 dollars more per person for very clean private
room in hostel at Waikiki so the price here is not adequate I think.
Wifi did not work well. But in general the stay was ok if you don't
have other option.
Many insects;cockroach, ants, geckos. If you do not like them, do not stay there.
cleaness.
The facilities were shabby with soiled carpets, lots of bugs both dead and alive, and trash and junk were all over inside and outside in the yard.
It was very misleading that the airport shuttle had to be
"discussed" with the staff in advance. The room and facilities
themselves were not very clean. And the location was very far from
anywhere in the city. Though it might be fine for a group of young kids
traveling on a budget.
- make sure it need to clean
- didn't sleep well because chickens made noisy from dawn.
shower curtain was disgusting and repulsive. the carpet same thing.
cockroaches , ants etc in kitchen area .... very, very poor standard of cleanliness and limited wi-fi.
the bathroom and bedroom were dirty and the roosters were so loud that it was hard to sleep.
This place is not clean, the furniture was low end ratty second hand, the bathroom was not clean, the kitchen the same, it is basically run down AND there was one or more roosters roosting right outside that started crowing around 4AM and never stopped. I got what I paid for.
Nothing.
