Rio Nido Lodge at the Russian River - Adults Only - Fotos
Lo que la gente dice
My fiance and I stayed here the weekend of August 23rd while we were in
Guernville for a friends wedding. The place is tucked away in a little
nook just off the highway. Surrounded by gorgeous tall redwoods. We felt
like we were driving up to a chalet in Switzerland.
We were greeted by Brett and Yulia, the owners, and their delightful little girl. They were extremely nice and accommodating. Brett showed us to our room, which was this cozy spot upstairs. The room was practically brand new. Fre. todo comentarios »
The Rio Nido Lodge is in the middle of the Sonoma area wineries.
Restaurants in Guerneville are excellent. Very laid-back atmosphere in
the Russian River area! Can easily access Santa Rosa, Sebastopol,
Healdsburg, and other larger cities. Hosts Brett and Yulia Gibbs are adorable---
extremely attentive and hospitable. Wonderful free breakfasts! Very
comfortable beds. The rooms are immaculate and fresh. They obviously
have their hearts and souls into making their lodge a
"destination!".
The owner, Brett, was great and he did cook a really fine breakfast every morning for us. The room was large and comfortable with a decent bathroom. The building is charming. The Rio Nido Roadhouse is right next door with good food and a nice bar atmosphere. The Lodge is very convenient to many of the wine areas of Sonoma County and very near to the coastal areas to the west as well as the Armstrong Redwood forest area.
The owners are really nice and more than happy to help with any questions or requests. Although the room was a bit cold (october), there was an electrical heater provided in the room. Everything was nice and clean and the bed was quite comfortable.
Especially the breakfast in the morning is really good. You get eggs made to order (think about adding mushrooms, or peppers), toast, yoghurt, tea/coffee. It was nice.
The couple who run the place are very nice and helpful. The building
itself is lovely. The room was nice, everything (including the bathroom)
was very clean. Breatfast was nice; great homemade muffins! And the bar
just across the road is a cool convenient place for a meal, and full of
local colour.
The price was fantastic for a newly renovated room. The owners made us breakfast (dairy free) and recommended a great hike in Armstrong State Natrual Reserve where we saw breathtaking Redwoods.Wine country is all around Ri Nido.
Beautiful room in a beautiful location. Very comfortable. The all inclusive breakfast was incredible. Also, great to be able to walk across the driveway to dinner instead of having to drive. We'll definitely be back.
comfortable, well-equipped accommodations in a beautiful setting. We were surrounded by redwoods towering overhead. Hosts Brett and Yulia were friendly, professional and accommodated our needs perfectly.
The new owners are delightful. They fix a wonderful full breakfast which
is included (a fact not mentioned online) They just acquired the
historic property. The beds are the best. You are in the redwoods.
We absolutely loved the charm of this vintage lodge. The proprietors made it an even more enjoyable stay, with their warm hospitality and amazing home cooked breakfast. We will defnintely be back!.
The hosts were the most accommodating on our trip. The home-style breakfast (included) was fantastic. Located in a quiet, peaceful grove of giant redwoods. This couple is working hard to be the best!.
Everything! The facilities were clean and friendly and the owners/staff were personable and charming! We plan to stay there again in the near future as it was a VERY special place!.

Very nice staff. Excellent breakfast. Very freely and efficient welcome and follow up during our stay.
Excellent hosts and great accommodation, plus breakfasts made to order. Good value for money.
Great homemade breakfast. Feel of an old lodge, with updated comforts. In the redwoods!.
100 year old quaint building. Owner on site doing a good job. Breakfast was very good.
Liked the owners.
They were very accommodating.
Very clean and a great value.
Charming location, lovely owners, great location to see the Redwood forests.
I loved the setting, the ambiance, the decor, and cleanliness. :-).
Excellent Breakfast, friendly helpful owner staff, comfy bed.
Youlia's breakfast was excellent, with good espresso!.
Quiet location, very friendly staff, value for money.
very nice, relaxed, friendly, excellent breakfast.
Very clean room, comfortable bed.
pleasant owners.
The windows in the room need a bit more sound sealing as it could be very noisy at times due to heavy traffic and the school bus stopping right outside our room at 7AM. The neighborhood is eclectic in the extreme so noisy diesel pickup trucks roared up and down the road under our window quite often. It did usually quiet down nicely by 9 PM, however and we slept well.
Can't think of anything. The surroundings are mostly forrest and a few strange houses, which seemed misplaced next to this hotel.
The place is located too far from Guerneville proper to walk, so driving
is necessary, and consequently - no option to have a glass of wine in
town. Might be useful for the owners to offer drop-off / pick-up
services for a small charge.
The room could have used another surface or two for our belongings.
Little hard to find
Grounds could be better.
Nothing. They are starting but our room was great.
Tight staircase to climb to room.
All was good.
Town was just OK.
Rooms were a bit cold (it was winter).
Inadequate heating , room wad freezing when we arrived had to ask for a space heater which fixed the issue but haf to be insistant. Owner did come and adjust the weather stripping next day.
expensive
unfinished
noisy
drafty.
