Canaan Village Inn - Fotos
Lo que la gente dice
We are a young couple with an infant from Maryland. We wanted to get away from the busy city life- Cannan Village Inn provided just that break. Way back in the country, surrounded by Mountains, big green lawn where my baby ran around, and beautiful fall colors - we wish we stayed longer. The store across the street was open 24/7 and had everything you could possibly need. Had a subway too!. We drove around and watched fall colors, went to Blackwater falls, visited the coffee shop in Davis. You . todo comentarios »
The owners were very friendly, accommodating of our needs, and great to talk with. The room was completely comfortable and kept clean daily. We appreciated the amenities of a refrigerator and microwave oven in the room and an ice machine down the hall. There is a 24-hour convenience store and gas station across the road, which is a rare commodity in the mountains of West Virginia. It's only a 10 to 15-minute drive to Davis and Thomas, two charming and accommodating towns with good restaurants, .
We have stayed here many times and always go back when we have a chance. The staff is wonderful and we so enjoyed our chatting with them!! Many times that is hard to find in other places, as you feel like you are just there as a reservation for a room and not someone to even say, "Hey, how are you" with a big welcome in. Not at Canaan Village!!! And we don't look for luxury, only comfort and cleanliness. They honestly care and want you to have a great stay with them and go out of their way t.
The staff was extremely friendly and informative. Great value and staff was really grateful to have our business. The room was really clean and secure. Location was very convenient to state/national parks and really easy to find! Great place to stay for a night. CVI is far away from the big cities and large stores, which gave it a "back woods" feel. I will definitely look into staying again during the ski season.
We were looking for a budget place in the Canaan Valley, and I must say
that the Canaan Village Inn gives you an outstanding value for the
money. Sure, it's nothing fancy, but it is very clean, relatively
spacious, and there's not too much traffic on the nearby road
either. So what more could you ask for at this price? In short: Very
much recommended! And I forgot: The landlady is a real lovely person.
Everything is fair for a lbudget motel where you are spending most of yor time skiing or hiking, or doing something active in the area. It is located near several restaurants that serve very good meals at family-friendly prices. And, a convenience store and gas station is across the street. The wifi is excellent.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn! The staff were friendly and very helpful in finding things to do in the area. The location is centrally located to many attractions and fun things to do with your family. It was a quiet stay. Very close to restaurants and gas station. We would stay again!.
We had reservations for one night, but liked it so much, we decided to
stay two nights. The location, cleanliness, and water pressure and staff
are great.
The cute hotel has character inside and out.
The tub was bigger then most tubs, so I didn't have to rub against the shower curtain-Yuck!!.
The staff was very friendly and outgoing. Motorcycle friendly - covered parking available and offered me the use of a hose and towels to clean my bike.
Accomodations were not fancy but were clean and served their purpose. Perfectly adequate and fine for my tastes.
Jana and Sam the owners were very friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We will be back again. My wife, daughter and dog Mckenzie stayed. We went to the BlackWaterFall State Park, Senaca Rocks, and SmokeHole Caverns. All a must see.
Our hostess was very friendly , and helpful. She was very well informed about the area attractions. You couldn't ask for better. She was very personable. The room was very clean and the cost was in my budget. For a king room you were really getting a good deal.
Managers were responsive and very friendly, usually found sitting outside the front door as if this were a B&B. Breakfast place is just across the parking lot. Rooms were very clean. Hotel is close to the nightlife in Davis and Thomas. Quiet.
We were there to see the parks, hike, and relax as a family. The friendly staff gave us great tips on trails, activities and places to eat. They obviously love where they live and wanted us to enjoy ourselves.
My room was clean and had everything I needed. This hotel is for people who are out and about and only in the room to sleep. Very budget friendly and the lady at the desk is excellent. I will go back.
Location, design, cleanliness, comfort, homely, economical, relaxing, vicinity of Blackwater Falls, Sirianni restaurant nearby, front office staff Samantha's friendliness and helpfulness, no bedbugs.
The cost was reasonable, the staff made me feel at home, there was good
food and all kinds of convenience items right across the street,
everything in the room was clean and decent.
Staff was super kind. We ran really late to check in and they made sure we got in and stayed comfortably. This is the only place ill stay in canaan valley from here on.
The owner/front desk clerk is super friendly and very accommodating. We couldn't come in until "after hours" so she made arrangements for us.
Centrally located between Canaan Valley and Blackwater Falls State Parks. Staff was wonderful and the room was clean with nice amenities.
Staff was very nice and very friendly!! Told us directions to horse back riding, and even gave us a free game of minature golf!!.
Great friendly staff, beautiful nature and surrounding, nice get away for horse back riding, wildlife, mountains and serenity.
The woman who works the front desk...her name eludes me. She is fantastic. Hard working. Friendly. Helpful. Keep her! ;).
Staff was very nice, rooms were clean. Great price. Location convenient to numerous scenic views, parks, wildlife etc.
The room was spacious and clean. Linda was a. very friendly person and made sure you had anything that you needed.

Location, Price, Parking.
Very nice staff.
Very nice.
Friendly staff and convenient position for the Canaan national park and for wildlife generally.
The staff was excellent. They were more than willing to accommodate any of our needs.
A bit far from things, but in this part of the country, it wasn't that big a deal.
Staff and accomodating friendly nature.
Staff friendly.
Can't think of anything.
The only thing we have to say is possibly "down the road", maybe new mattresses, one or a few at a time, however the financial bit can accomodate them.
The room needed to be updated a bit, the tv malfunctioned (but we did not come for that!). The bed/linens/pillows were very worn and not very comfortable. If staying more than 1 night, you may want to check into the apartment rooms and bring some food to cook.
If only the windows could be opened....
The rooms are well-used and probably could use some updating. Better beds and flat screen tvs/mdeia center. Refrigerator wasn't working.
nothing!.
No breakfast. Dated, but who cares, I'm going to see the outdoors,
not the indoors. Carpet is short shag, but they will be renovating soon.
The chairs were a little big. I am a short person.
Wifi slow (like other places in the Canaan Valley). Facilities are showing their age and could stand an upgrade. (They told us they would be renovating later this year.).
When I found the Canaan Village Inn on the website, the address was
given as Davis, wv. I spent considerable time driving around the town
looking for it. It turns out it was about 10 miles south of Davis in a
town called Canaan. I didn't know there was a town of that name and
I nearly gave up my search.
The carpet was kinda scary. I wore shoes the whole time.
Nothing!!.
No stopper in the tub for a bath. :(.
Mattress and pillows need replacing, no phones, clock radio in rooms. We had room #2, was right beside front desk, literally 5 feet away, could hear everything that went on there. Curtains were very thin and let in light, had to hang blanket over rod to block out light.
The room could have more light in them as they tend to be a little on the dark side.
Upstairs occupant with combat boots on. But not fault of hotel or staff.
No pool.
Floor creak a little.
It's not that I didn't like it, but the hotel could use some sprucing up. The rooms are dated, and we noticed patched drywall in the stairwell that needed painting.
liked everything!.
Carpets needed cleaned.
The on Site restaurant The food selection left much to be desired.
can'T think of anything.
Older facility, some niceties were missing.
-old building.
Towels are kind of small.
The rooms are very old and outdated.
No coffee maker.
Wifi was weak.
The fact that there was no breakfast facility.
No big problems.
Suite was not in the best state of repair. Needed some attention.
No phone, had to ak for a hair dryer.
