Red Lion is new ownership and good things are happening. was another Franchise that apparently did not do well and Red Lion came in is making it a much cleaner and better place. I will stay there again... certainly checking out for the budget minded traveler...
Big room. Had microwave and fridge. Bed was nice. The continental breakfast was really good for this price - waffles, sausages, eggs, cereal, yogurt, etc. Nice touch with old movie posters on the walls outside. The pool and spa looked pretty good.todo comentarios »
Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. It was the afordable place
left to stay during the Coachella music festival.
Loved having a living room for the kids to watch TV wile we were able to watch TV in the bed room.
Breakfast room was beautifully sunny. Our room was comfortable
and quiet.

It was about 15 minutes away from thePro Tennis tournament. The breakfast was included and there were lots of choices from hot buffet style to cold cereal,toast,yogurt and do-it-yourself waffles.

The queen suite had a door to the bedroom, so we could close it for the child to sleep earlier than us.

don't blame them.
We had no hot water at 8am. I guess everyone in the building was taking a shower at the same time. After breakfast we had hot water.
The swimming pool was freezing cold!! There was only artificial cream
for coffee so gross! (2 days there was cream out of the 11) when I asked
for it I was told they didn't have any b/c of complaints?. . . .
Whole wheat bread would be nice.

The property is in need of an update.
The carpet in the bedroom and living room area were extremely dirty ... we ruined numerous pairs of white sox as we take our shoes off indoors (we'd forgotten to pack our flip-flops !). The carpets need cleaning a.s.a.p. Freezer needed to be defrosted we couldn't close it properly after putting something in it, my husband had to chip off quite a bit to get it to close. Other than that it was ok.
Price was outrageous for bare minimum quality room. Much nicer suite
(two complete rooms with upgraded furniture two tv sets at Quality Inn
at Hotel Circle in San Diego $71 a night plus taxes. If Red Lion had any
decent compition it would be out of business in a flash.
When you don't have hot water in the morning and they don't take care of it. Breakfast was just OK. To call it a hot breakfast is a bit of a a stretch. Warm eggs etc.
Finding a giant (really the biggest one I have ever seen) crawling up
the drapes as I set on the couch. Did take it to the front desk only o
be told it was bug season and that they would fumigate the room - that
just means they move to another room - the whole place needs to be
fumigated!.
The facility was old and dirty. The carpet was so bad our feet were BLACK after walking on it for a few seconds.
Room was not adequate..not what I reserved. Missing a second bed. Eggs potatoes cold.bacon raw. Not worth the money..should have stayed at motel.
Our rooms were not what we reserved. It seemed that it did not matter
that we reserved two king rooms. We ended up with one very small queen
room and a two bedroom suite (for a single person). We had stayed at
this hotel about a year ago when it was owned by another chain and our
king room was lovely. The tv remote did not work, the ceiling fan did
not work. The bed was not comfortable.
It was not worth the price I paid.
Rooms do not come with the amenities described on the website. Pool is very dangerous (new coating is slippery and they painted over sharp areas that cut your foot).
it was old, smelly, dirty, and had not been updated since the 1980's. it had a kitchen but the light didn't work, the coffee maker didn't work it was a very unpleasant stay. we did not even want to shower there.
