I cannot rate this hotel enough. We stayed a few weeks ago after deciding to show some American friends our country. We drove down to Whitby from Lichfield and booked a two room aprtment at the resolution hotel.

We stayed at the resolution for valentines night and we can't fault
it at all. We got a very good deal on the room which made it amazing
value for money! We stayed in a double room, which was beautifully
decorated, very clean and extremely well stocked full of toiletries,
drink making facilities, fan, hair dryer, safe etc The view was
amazing!!! A gorgeous out look of the bay and the abbey over the roof
tops of Whitby :) The staff were lovely and the breakfast was
fabulous!!! 10/10 we would rec

through out the stay very professional , welcoming .
The Hostel is in an outstanding location, good for parking,the building itself is full of history without being stuffy or pretentious. Also you get free entry to the Abby how brilliant is that!

Everything at Prospect House and Whitby was perfect ,the proximity of the transport connections and town area was just right-close without being in it. The breakfasts were really substantial and the proprietress made everybody feel totally welcome -

You were made to feel welcome from the onset, all the facilities were pointed out immediately with tea/coffee offered, which was a very nice touch. The accommodation was very clean with an ensuite, you weren't bothered unnecessarily but help was at hand if required. Breakfast superb. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Pot of tea and biscuits on arrival in
the lounge. We had a bedroom with a sea view - which was
comfortable,well appointed and clean. The breakfast of choice was ample
to enable us enjoy a full day exploring wonderful places. Staff are very
helpful and knowledgeable of the locality. Nothing was too much bother
and we left our 4 day break feeling refreshed and very satisfied.

In our opinion this was the best guest house we have stayed in. Our room was very comfortable spacious and clean and the towels were changed everyday. There was a fridge on our landing and the owner Sheila put fresh milk in there in case we didn't like the milk in our room (Have never stayed anywhere else that did that). Mike, Sheilas husband cook

Michael and Sheila were very friendly and down-to-earth. We were made to feed very welcome and everything was to a good standard and very clean. The breakfast was very good too. Whitby itself has everything you could wish for from a friendly seaside town (British weather permitting of course) and it is particularly dog-friendly. There are lots of food outlets to suit every budget. Shopping is excellent. Will definitely be going to Whitby again!
