We enjoyed the quit atmosphere although close to the main road this was not to noisy during the night, our room was a good size and contained everything we needed, en suite, tea making facility, Sky TV, and two easy chairs to sit and watch TV. Bed was comfy, overall it was clean and the attention to every details was excellent. A little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. Will definitely stay their again, and will recommend to family and friends. todo comentarios »
We liked everything about our stay except the weather. The guesthouse was a good experience, very clean and the staff were very friendly, we could not fault it, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Friendly and accommodating hosts. A location that is just far enough from the centre to avoid noise but near enough for easy access to the centre.
Welcoming host, good quality of fixtures, fittings, crockery etc. Very clean, spacious, comfortable room. Good breakfast with a varied choice.
Cleanliness, comfort, value for money and attention to detail - even the milk for the room was delivered in an individual metal vacuum flask!.

There was about a mile walk down to the centre of Whitby from the guest house and quite a steep, uphill to return. There is a bus available that runs every half hour but not after about 9.30pm. The guest house was situated near a busy main road so there was traffic noise most of the time. However, after about midnight the traffic noise lessened considerably.

No issues with Mayfields. Enjoyed walk into Whitby, particularly via Cinder Track, but it is a fair distance and return is very much uphill.
Tired linen , no flat sheets , valences did not fit the beds , Beds not comfortable.
