We arrived slightly earlier than check-in time and were given our room immediately. Even though its on a main road and has a railway behind, we weren't disturbed by any noise. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The whole place looked like it was very well cared for and had an attractive decor. Car parking was easily available and accessible (bearing in mind we were driving a long-wheel base van!). We hadn't booked breakfast for the following morning but the staff had no problem accommo.
todo comentarios » Good parking, warm welcome. Nice size room and bathroom, clean and not dated. Good breakfast and evening meal with plenty of room between tables. All on one level so no stairs to climb. Bus and trains into the town just a short walk away. A taxi into town for not much more than two train or bus tickets so the car had a holiday, bonus. A customer orientated, dynamic and focused family run hotel. A gem of a hotel. Accommodation five minutes drive from Tenby, but ideal for easy access into surrounding countryside. Easy to walk into Penally village where there are two pubs, a shop and a church. Room, bathroom, restaurant and all accommodation very tastefully furbished and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts very good with lots of choice. Staff and their family all very friendly and chatty. Ideal for 2/3 nights stay. The staff were the most accommodating I've ever experienced. All the guests had travelled up for the ironman and the hotel totally changed their routine and meal times to fit this. And to top it off they all turned out to cheer on the competitors. Thank you all, I'd definitely book again. Excellent location with good parking facilities. The whole building is on ground floor level. Family run hotel who could not do enough for the customers. An excellent menu for both breakfast and evening meal offered at reasonable prices. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Really friendly hosts. I was made to feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Loved the shower!! The restaurant on site served a great lasagne. All in all a great place, would definitely stay again. The location is also great, just a short walk along the beach from Tenby town. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Shower took a little while to get hot but did the job when it was, so that's a minor gripe and certainly doesn't detract from the fact this was a lovely place. Nothing. Corner shower a little on the small size. The ideal location of the Overlander means it is next to a main road, which can be noisy if you are at the front of the accommodation and have the windows open, as we did due to nice warm weather. Room did start to become very warm, a fan might be useful for such times ? However neither of issues mentioned a major issue, just an observation. We think they have made the absolute best of the accommodation and facilities and would recommend to others. Nothing to dislike. It was a bit further outside Tenby than expected. It wasn't anything I actually disliked but I would have liked the option of a roast dinner on the menu,. Very noisy if in the rooms on the road side of the hotel. Despite the double-glazing, the sound of 50mph vehicles 5m from the window was enough to stop us sleeping. I'm sure the rooms on the other side would have been fine. Some of the decor is a little worn also. Not enough extract fans in the restaurant, smell of the fryer was there from lunchtime onwards. Was not there at breakfast. Service in the restaurant was a little slow and we felt a little out of it so did not stay for dessert. Also the vegetables had run out so not enough vegetables given for two portions. train is right next to the property...Its a slight bother but does not detract from this excellent accommodation. Absolutely nothing at all not to like. Nothing. The wall between between room 3&4 very thin, can hear the majority of talking and movement etc.Wouldnt stop me staying there tho. Nothing. The restaurant was still closed and this was not made clear on the booking form. Nothing. Carpark entrance has a brick pillar which makes entering and exiting difficult especially if someone has parked opposite the entrance. Could do with the WiFi working in the rooms. Car park entrance to tight. Signage created a visual black spot when exacting. On a noisy road. Intermittent hot water in shower. Next to a very busy road kept awake till the very early hours due to warm weather windows open, very small shower and small room.
