Situated in the heart of the picturesque Dorset countryside, The Swan Inn offers an on-site beer garden, karaoke and free parking. Free Wi-Fi is available in each room at The Swan, as well as an en suite bathroom and a flat-screen TV. A variety of breakfast options are available, including an English breakfast, omelettes and vegetarian cooked breakfasts. Hearty 3-course meals are also available, as well as lighter options. A Sunday carvery is on offer, along with award-winning ales and wines at the bar. A variety of shops can be found within a 5-minute walk, as well a museum which has local information dating back to the Roman occupation of Britain. The seaside town of Weymouth is within an hour’s drive of the property.

We stayed for two nights and then needed to stay a further night due to unforeseen circumstances. The location was where we needed to be and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast was good and plentiful. A pleasant place to stay. The staff and Manager were very friendly and very nice to talk to. The rooms were clean and tidy and comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant and plenty of it. Altogether a really nice place to stay. I would really recommend the Swan Inn for any kind of break long or short.
todo comentarios » Wonderful stay in this historic inn/pub. Charles Dickens stayed here. Excellent food, both dinner and breakfast, and large portions... Very friendly staff and owners are wonderful. The location was very nice, and the staff were very friendly & helpful. Food was very good, and a varied selection to choose from.. +staff very friendly location very good secure parking off road good food all in all a very good hotel. Very friendly staff , excellent meal reasonably priced. Location easy to find and comfortable bed. Good selection of good value meals, good selection of bar drinks, friendly staff, weekend band. The Staff were very polite and helpful. It was nice to be made so welcome. Hotel clean and staff friendly. Convenient spot for sightseeing. Good atmosphere nice staff good pub food. A good location for travel to nearby Shaftsbury . Staff friendly and inn is popular with locals . Did not eat at location but food smelt good . Adequate parking . Wonderful staff; Good Food; Great social atmosphere; Budget price. Comfortable rooms Food simple but very good value. convenient location. Only the fact that the window rattled (but it was gusty that night) and the live music directly below our room was very loud (but it was Friday night!). Really, everything was fine and we would go back if we needed to stay in the area again. Can't think of anything. Parking is a bit tight. Can't think of anything in particular. A pre-booked breakfast would have saved time. Weak shower. nothing. Some may ( not us) not want to hear a band playing on a weekend . Shower mixer taps room 5 a little dodgy . Noisy; No wi-fi in room. Live music both nights we were there, and most rooms directly above the bar! Ask for Room 5 if you want peace and quiet. Tried to charge £90pn for my £80pn booking. special music evenings held every saturday until mid-night - the music is very, very loud and it is impossible to sleep!! we were only told when we arrived at the hotel. Price of room overpriced for standard of facilities.
