Lo que la gente dice
We needed an overnight stopover near to Stirling on a Pitlochry to
Ludlow journey. This was ideal-no nonsense-good value for money. The
feature we liked best was the faultless detailed personalised letter at
the property telling us everything logistic that we needed to
know.related to our stay. A French couple arriving at the same time as
us, found an equivalent personalised letter in french. todo comentarios »
We had a lovely family room that we reached via a set of stairs through our own door. There was plenty of room even with the double bed, two single beds and a cot! The room was completely ready for us including the cot set up and lots of towels. Wall mounted tv with children's channels! Gorgeous setting in a beautiful building. Easy distance from Blair Drummond Safari Park.
The rooms were comfortable, clean, a great value and a nice peaceful and scenic location just outside town. Alasdair, who runs the place was extremely friendly and a great person to talk to and learn about Scotland. We stayed an extra hour after checkout just talking to him because he was so friendly!.
* Very friendly and helpful staff
* Great value for money
* Clean and cosy room
* Lovely picturesque location
* Central location to many leisure activities ... zoo/castle/monument/restaurant/shopping.....
......We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back =).
we had a great stay at the Hillhead Farm. The owner is very friendly and the location is in a wonderful green area just outside of Bannockburn.
The rooms have everything you need for a short stay and are clean and comfortable.
Great value for money. Recommended!.
Great spot, lovely rooms, great views, nice friendly people could no fault it greatfor no money. We are first time travellers to Scotland from Australia so far this has been the best value. Most definitely would recommend.
Great relaxing atmosphere and a great base to be able to commute to both Glasgow & Edinburgh. Alasdair was professional and helpful. Having the tavern across the road was great, we had a lovely breakfast there.
Spacious room, liked the Scottish tartan touch to the bed coverings. Beds were very comfortable (contrary to previous reviews I had read). Owner very pleasant and friendly. Accommodation good value for money.
Easy reach location. Nice size of room and shower. Plenty of rails for
clothes and units to put things on. Having two chairs was appreciated
and two lights you could read by. Good parking.
Clean, bright modern room in reasonably close proximity to Stirling (though you do need a car). Friendly welcome, pub that serves lovely breakfasts over the road as well as other food.
What you see in the picture is exactly what you get ,comfy, clean and in a great location, the room was large enough for 3 kids to run about and have fun . we would recommend it .
It was in an excellent location. We were right in the middle of everything we wanted to see in Stirling. The staff was very friendly and the room was comfortable and homey.
I was really impressed with this hotel as all the facilities seemed to be up to scratch and the staff were really pleasant to talk to. I would definitely stay there again.
Alistair the owner was very welcoming and friendly. The accomodation was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely go back to stay there.
We had the 3-Bed-Room for one night.
Very friendly staff, very clean - everything was good.
We enjoyed our stay very much.
Great location close to all motorway and road links. Clean, new and comfortable beds. Very helpful owner.
Simply and comfortably furnished with all that is required. Rooms are
small but this is not an issue.
Spacious and well fitted comfortable room. Overall a really sweet little
place and a good stay.
Very accomodating (added extra cot for 3rd child). Great location just outside of Stirling.
Organised, cosy, good location opposite pub for meals, very pretty- flowers, horses, cows.
Very quiet. Clean and in a pleasant location, handy for Stirling. Hospitable owners.
location friendliness clean owner is very friendly and the price is very good value.
- Nice location
- Friendly owner
- Free Wi-Fi
- Room with fridge
- comfortable beds.
Room was lovely and spacious. Staff were very helpful in providing for our needs.
Location in Country; close to hotel for meals. Staff very friendly & helpful.
Nice quiet location. Good food at reasonable prices across the road.
Friendly and accommodating staff.
Location and the personal touch.
I felt like Home
No complains.
The room was nice and clean.
Muy agradable, y tranquilo.
Very accommodating staff.
Spacious warm room.
The welcome on arrival was excellent. The location of Hillhead Farm Lets
is excellent for axcess to many of the historical areas in central
Scotland. The room was clean and well laid out.
Quiet farmhouse setting not far from Stirling. Rooms very comfortable. The owner was out when we arrived but left a very explicit welcoming note -nice personal touch.
Decent central location.
country side.
Location.
- a good restaurant to have a meal across the road
- fresh air.
You have to drive to the Premier Inn across the road for evening meal / breakfast as we really didn't fancy trying to walk across the busy road. The velux window could do with a blind to help little ones get to sleep in the summer! The bathroom although perfectly adequate has no bath.
Would have liked a little more cutlery and crockery. Only had one teaspoon and 3 small tea cups.
You could hear the people above rather easily. Main concern was the
choice of new mattresses ie- the kind where you can feel the springs.
Owner kindly put extra mattresses on top for us and this gave us an
excellent night's sleep.
Beds could be more comfortable.
Nothing.
We drove passed it 3 times. The sign had blown down one way and our gps
was no help.
The only complaint we had was the low water pressure in the shower.
Have to walk accross the street for breakfast, even though it is excellent value.
One bed a bit creaky.
- Parking situation not ideal.
Bed was slightly uncomfortable but you soon got used to it and it wouldn't stop us from staying again.
The bed mattress was unsatisfactory. Hard with springs coming through padding. Needs replacing.
cant think of anything.
Shower wasn't working and no bath. Couldn't find anyone to help us.
Don't eat at the other side of the streat!.
No towel rail in bathroom.
We could have done with more coffee and tea supplies. The room we had
was right below the attic room and any time they either used the taps
or the toilet the sound of the water going through the pipes was very
loud, this was worse when they were up at 6:30 in the morning shower
etc. The shower in our room was very hard to regulate and kept going
cold while in use.
On single bed could feel every single spring. My heel would catch on it. Need a mattress topper. Very basic room. While it is true it is on a farm, it is a small farm and not as I imagined. The farm picture is true, but certainly not a view from near the approach to the room. Overall had expected more, but it was still perfectly acceptable.
very average accomodation. no breakfast served at all.
Price advertised on a sign on the road is GBP 29 much lower than we paid! According to the owner this price was not applicable in October. We felt a bit cheated.
Ultra uncomfortable beds, No refilling of basic room comforts....clean
towels, fresh tea and coffee. No one at any time to report any
difficulties to. No one to hand key to when checking out. Nonsense
response to review on trip advisor.
- no reception
- dirty cups and spoons
- cold shower
- far from the city centre. If you don't have a car - forget it.
- not customer-oriented.
- does not feel or look like a farm at all.
