  The lovely garden. Helpful and friendly staff. Superbly comfortable bed. Huge bath in the bedroom and a very snazzy bathroom with both a power and a rain shower. A very decent range of real ale (locally brewed) and a quality draft cider. The delighful (and lazy) Millie. This is a dog friendly hotel and as a dog friendly but non-owning couple we e - Great location, amazing views from the room. The bars have roaring fires with plenty of choice including real ales. Very enjoyable stay in a comfortable, clean room with lovely decor and more than enough tea/coffee/hot chocolate provided. There was also a traditional stopper bottle of filtered water which I thought was a very nice touch. We found the staff very helpful and friendly, food menu/breakfast excellent and nicely presented.
