Friendly hotel well situated for the town and as a base for island touring. We booked the last available room and thought we would have a room overlooking the rear garden, however when we arrived we were shown to a large front room overlooking the bay with a four poster bed - very nice! Very friendly hotel with helpful staff.
Good location , our room was spacious and had character and a tremendous view over the Bay.The breakfast was good and we were offered a choice of evening meal if we wished. You may consider this option as the choice of dining in Rothesay is limited after 1800 hrs.todo comentarios »
Fantastic hotel with some of the best views going. We stayed in a four poster bed room and the sunsets were just phenomenal and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds going. Easy walk into Rothesay and cracking breakfast.
excellent location, the views are outstanding, and lovely patio area to relax with a wine and enjoy. The food was lovely, and the owner was very attentive, we would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Wonderful views from our bedroom window. Although the hotel is old and dated in parts ,our room was well decorated, attractive and large. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good.
The friendly owners and staff. The situation overlooking the sea. The comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent. unable to sample dinner as it had to be booked in advance.
This was everything i wanted in a break from a hectic life style, it's so relaxed friendly unspoilt ... Dont think about Booking it...just Book it its a hidden treasure.
Everything , really . The food was great value , the accommodation was so clean , Mrs. McGregor so attentive . Wonderful location : just sit outside and admire the view.
We thoroughly enjoyed our say. This is a unique family run hotel with a classic coasey feel. The service was spot on and we would love to stay there again sometime.
I liked the look of the hotel, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, service and food. The place was really clean and well located.
Adorable old-fashioned B&B. Spotlessly clean. Comfy bed and wonderful view. The owner was very kind and helpful.
Beds were very comfortable, linen was very clean.
Breakfast - a good selection each morning.
You are made to feel welcome and the friendly atmosphere continues throughout your stay.
beautiful location right on the bay. food really first class. Easy parking.
Decoration, carpets, furniture, breakfast, provision of local
information.
Handy for the town of Rothesay and the views were fantastic fom our room.
clean, bright room, friendly owners and A good breakfast.
Friendly staff, view from room, food quality and value.
liked everything, was a very pleasant stay at Bayview.
Excellent location for discovering the Isle of Bute.
Quiet helpful hostess, evening meals, fellow guests.
cleanliness and friendly owners.
Location and food.
Made very welcome.
We liked the breakfast.
The bed was comfy.
Good location if you wanted to explore the island.
Clean, well situated, nice views, old world charm B&B, and hearty breakfast.
welcoming, clean, quiet, comfy.
Nothing really, if you were being picky you might consider a non slip bath mat and handrail along the back wall to aid people getting in our out of the bath. This may not be true for all rooms.
Nothing.
The only thing we did not like was the stairs to our room, but it would not put us off from returning..
The noisy cistern and the creaky floorboards above us. Soap and shower gel from dispensers.
No lift so was unable to use the sea view room as it was up 3 flights of stairs(this Hotel was not suitable for people with mobility restrictions) and had to make do with a room at back. It would appear that there is only 1 hotel/boarding house in Rothesy with a lift. fixed head shower(my pet hate) No anti-slip mat in bath. Would also appreciate grip bars on wall at back of bath and on wall between bath and toilet to aid getting in/out of bath/shower safely.
Only having one hour (8:15 - 9:15) for breakfast.
No evening meals except in high season- but that is clearly stated before booking.
I found my bed rather hard, but that is just to my liking , others may prefer a firm matress.
Did not have any reasons to dislike the hotel.
electrics a bit variable.
Garden view should be taken with a huge pinch of salt. Don't expect any flower beds or benches for relaxation. Was just a patch of grass with views of the neighbours washing.
Wasn't entirely happy with the bed, however, I do have a kingsize at home, seemed on the small size for a double. I might have been imagining it.
