We Had an excellent two night stay at Middlethorpe. Andy & Wendy were friendly & helpful. This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in, comfortable well decorated rooms, ours had a good view over the bay. Breakfast set us up for the day. We opted to catch a bus into Whitby, we were picked up & dropped back at the end of the drive. Our stay was all too short but we would love to return & would have no hesitation in recommending Middlethorpe.
todo comentarios » Wendy made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived! All made extra special by the little details - including the candle she placed in the birthday cake! And the bottle opener from *i think* Andy! Breakfast was also wonderful!. Far the best Guest house we have ever stayed in. will recommend to friends and family.we have never felt so relaxed and breakfast was cooked to perfection.will be going back in the near future. the hosts andy and wendy were great nothing to much trouble , everything was perfect from the room to the breakfast , I will be staying again , that's a dead cert. Lovely sea-view from our room.Attractive ,clean and comfortable room with good facilities.Delicious breakfast.Warm welcome from owner,very friendly.Relaxing. Lovely hosts, lovely views will go back to this guest house again as we felt it was a hidden gem. Didnt want to leave. We had a very pleasant, comfortable stay. the view from breakfast room excellent. Excellent hosts Excellent place to stay. The wifi didn't work in room 3 - however made it extra special. Nothing. En-suite very small. Bedroom only just big enough. Nothing. there was nothing to dislike. Room advertised as available from 12 noon but when we arrived at 2pm the promised key was not in the porch & we had to come back later. The ensuite to Room 4 was on the small side & had mould around the shower area which needed attention. Being used to a king size bed we found the double bed a little cramped. But we get that problem almost everywhere. Breakfast room was a bit on the small size. nothing. Nothing. Location is in the middel of no where and phone signal us pretty poor but that's not there fault. Ground floor room and en suit a little small although very smart.Upstairs rooms much better. Nothing. The room was a bit small. nothing. Walk to village pub not 5 mins about 15 and uphill on way back. Nothing. Not applicable. Nothing. uncomfortable bed in room 2. Nothing. our bedroom was at the back of the house and we missed getting up to the beautiful view over the countryside and sea.
