  The location was excellent for the coast and Dartmoor. The hotel has a calm restful atmosphere and this is led by the owners. They are attentive, responding and remembering what has been talked about. A real personal touch. The food is top quality and freshly prepared.   the hotel was superb, the room was very much a 'country house' style and was one of the nicest hotel rooms that I have stayed in.   Positive comments:- Location perfect; hotel, room and staff were excellent, nothing is ever a problem from arrival to departure. Room was a superior - really surprised me contemporary yet old world sophistication. First visit had a gym excellent for me arriving after long trip. The accommodation was also very nice, and beautifully kept. The food was excellent as was the service in the restaurant. The only thing I would say is that you should be prepared to pay over £100 for a meal for 2 people, which some might consider a little pricey.
