  The location was great - right in the middle of town with parking. The breakfast was good too. The staff were just the right side of friendly and very helpful too. I booked a single room which was a good size - although the pillows were hard! - with a comfy bed and a clean, well kept bathroom. All in all, would highly recommend. We would definitely stay there again! - Angie the owner greeted us and was very helpful telling us of walks in the area. Food was excellent and the bar had a lovely friendly atmosphere. The poached eggs for breakfast were superb. A wonderful place to break our journey on the way to Scotland could have done with a longer stay.

  The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely room, fantastic view and amazing food - if you stay there you have to eat in, you won't find better food anywhere. - Very friendly. Just what I needed for the brief stay.

  Very friendly owners, they were more than willing to help and were lovely to chat to giving it a lovely personal feel to our stay. The room was very luxurious, the bed especially was amazingly comfy! There were walking route plans provided to help walkers and to give ideas to visitors as to which areas to visit. From arriving with a warm welcome to recommendations for food that evening, Alex and Jeff were very helpful and polite in everything they did. One particular aspect that stands out in the breakfast, a stunning selection of everything you could ever wish for! Home made bread and scones with homemade jam, lovely! The room that me and my girlfriend stayed in was expected of somewhere of this calibre, very clean, very comfortable and a nice place to be. Ale
