Jackie, her staff and even the locals were really welcoming. Although we didn't have a loo in our room (just across the hall) we did have a shower & wash hand basin. We had a lovely view of the sea front and the room was clean and very comfortable. Telly, tea and coffee all included in the room and the room was refreshed during our stay. Bus stop just outside the Inn and £5.50 pp secured a 2 zone bus ticket for the day. Live music in the bar on Saturday night so all in all a lovely weekend .
todo comentarios » The location is on the seafront at Newbiggin and all rooms have a sea view. Jackie and Dave were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Real ale served in the bar and all locals we met were also very friendly and made us very welcome. Ann, thanks for a lovely cooked breakfast. Just hope we can make a return visit soon. This is a great place to stay, a local home from home. the sea view the room was clean well laid out tea and coffee in the room was what I liked Jackie was very helpful and the lady who did the breakfast was again first class i will go back again. Nothing was to much trouble for them. From the moment I met the proprietor and her helpful staff I realised that I was in my 'comfort zone'. After that it just got better. The social atmosphere in the bar made you feel more like family than a guest. Well recommended. One of the best places I have stayed. Very friendly staff and a place with real character . The live music in the bar was great and I was made to feel welcome. I will definitely stay again. It`s right nex to the sea, view from room was great, you can have a pint of beer right downstears in the pub, it`s in town so everything is near from shops to restaurants ... I loved how welcoming the old ship was and the landlady Jackie! When we opened our curtains to look out on to the beautiful bay! I loved how cheap the breakfasts were. Loved the view, the hospitality and friendliness of the staff and customers in the pub. Wonderful walks on the beaches and driving along the beautiful coastline. Interesting old building with lots of little nooks and crannies, friendly ,relaxed atmosphere,comfortable beds,locals welcoming,enjoyed Folk night. Warm, hospitable atmosphere, friendly, helpful management, staff and customers made it a highlight of our trip. hotel accommodation was very clean and the staff very friendly.It was good value for money. In truth there was nothing that I did not like. We went past it because the outside of the building doesnt`t really look like a hotel ... Nothing at all :-)). Liked everything. Couldn't fault it. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Initial impression from outside. Building was a little run-down. No evening meals. nothing. Lovely landlady. The town is not the most affluent and the car was damaged over night!!. Clear glass on the shower cubicle in the room!. the area was a bit run down wont be back at newbiggon. The smell of the hotel, think it was damp & in need of a good clean. Lots of dirty glasses on the bar. We were left standing waiting in the bar while our room was made up at 5.30pm. Hotel difficult to contact by phone in order to make changes to booking Misleading /confusing information about availability of and times of breakfast. The area is running-down and we won't come back again. The room wall is thin and we couldn't sleep because of the noise from the next door. A group of teenagers laughed and shouted till 1 am and started again 4 am! The hotel needs better sound insulation in their room walls to avoid the unpleasant experience.
