our stay started with what might be in other case a trouble - the room we wanted to stay was double booked,and as we wanted maximum comfort we were bit disappointed. The friendly staff created a relaxed atmosphere straight away at check in.
The room was clean, sunny with a great view of the garden and New Forest beyond.
All staff had a great rapport with each other and the guests.
The Hotet was preparing for a Wedding the following day and it was great fun to watch the preparations.

friendly staff - The Reception process was excellent and I was quickly settled into my room. The room was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Car parking was close at hand and CCTV monitored. The Bar area is warm and cosy with an open log fire as an "attraction"

The hotel staff were always helpful and friendly, they made our stay very pleasant. The room was clean and spacious. Our room also had a very nice bathroom. The breakfast service was also very good. From the moment we stepped into the hotel to the time we left the staff were amazing: friendly, welcoming, efficient and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. A lovely large room with a pair of comfy chairs. A large TV, tea, coffee, biscuits; shower with fresh towels as required, and good toiletries

The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. I had an evening meal in the pub which was good value. The poub has a lot to offer but I was the only guest on that particular night. Also only another couple in the bar. The pub decor is good and inviting. The manager was saying that weekends get busy but mid week is slow. Also extremely busy in the summer season. I would certainly stay again

They really were a dog friendly hotel and the staff were all lovely. The young lad who was serving us our wine at dinner was great, he knew just enough about his job without being a wine snob.
