Kensington is a very good part of London to stay for a short break.
There are of couple of lovely restaurants in the neighborhood, but you have to take a closer look at the menu before you enter, because prices are very different and high prices do not guarantee a good meal.

We benefitted from a very special deal due to refurbishment. The price was superb for the location and the room on the 7th floor was so quiet. It was ideal for exploring this end of London. The seating areas in the foyer were wonderfully relaxing, especially on a wet morning. It was so near the Metro and yet, so peaceful. Plenty of shops and cafes, nearby. Spotlessly clean, lovely bed and cosy and warm.

The staff were amazing. Very professional and helpful. There was a
mistake in booking me into a smoking room and when I advised reception I
was transferred immediately into a room on a higher floor with better
views. Would definitely stay again. -

was faster than normal each time, service , gym was nice and I really
enjoyed the location. And the renovated bathroom was terrific.
