This was our first trip to Edinburgh.
We were hoping to book a hotel closer to the city centre, but as ours was a last minute booking, we were limited for choice.

The price was nice and the sleep was good: these are main criteria for a good stay. The hotel itself is ugly, massive, chain-like, but people are okay, walking distance to town attractive, there is a park and a river road, so, I recommend this place!

We arrived early,really only wanted to drop cases off but was warmly
greeted and allowed up to to our rooms. We had a knock a few mins later
to check everything was in order. The whole establishment was spotless

Although we could not take the room until 2pm we were able to leave our bags much earlier and have them moved to our room when it was ready so we were free to enjoy an afternoon in Edinburgh, which very much appreciated. Room was spacious and comfortable with all the facilities we needed for a short stay. Breakfast was decent and filling and at a reasonable time. Excellent facilities in large traditional Edinburgh house, central
situation with easy access to town centre and attractions. Very
reasonably priced for facilities and the fact that it was a Rugby
Weekend which usually incurs doubling the price by many other Hotels and
Guest Houses. Whilst the guest house doesn't do breakfasts there are
good facilities nearbye, although for this particular weekend the host
cooked all guests who were visiting for the rugby a great breakfast on
both mornings in h

A really welcoming atmosphere in this old-style house in the area of the
Haymarket station (West-End). You will have comfort, cleanliness and an
excellent scottish breakfast! Do not be afraid of the dog: Bracken is
harmless. You can have a look of him snoring on You Tube! Une ambiance
