  Great Pub/Room for the night – it is more than a B&B. If you are thinking of staying in Bristol city for work/leisure as I was this is a great base much better than a bland corporate hotel and cheaper. Recently decorated, basic but clean and very good sized room with comfy bed, cheery linen and decent towels. The bar for an evening drink (good real ale) is very friendly to vis - Staff very friendly and helpful. I knew I was going to arrive late so I rang in advance, Natalie, the landlady, assured me it wasn't a problem and she stayed up to welcome me. I also had to leave early for a meeting so the landlord, Shaun, got up earlier to cook me breakfast which was delicious It was also great value for money. I was nearly put off staying here as the first review mentions road noise, but all the rooms have been sound proofed now and this was not an issue. Will definitely be s
