  Incredible place under railway bridge which looks like a film set from a movie shot according to some Jules Verne book. It feels so very Victorian and British like no other place we have been to in Scotland. The pub has above average cook (at least for Scottish standards) and is meeting place for the local community which was another great experie... lo que la gente dice » nce. The reason why we chose it in the first place was that it is just 10 minutes drive from the airport and inexpensive. But it was a true touristic - Apart from the breathtaking view from the hotel window , the whole place has a welcoming feel , with attentive staff making it a lovely stay . The bar area was lively and the meals were good value for money . The rooms have been refurbished and the bathroom fittings are all brand new and modern. The location is ideal as it is 5 mins walk , albeit up a steep brae , to the railway station with frequent trains into the capital . If you liked the film Local Hero then you will love this hotel !
