  Cannot fault our stay at all. I received a telephone call from Helen, checking what time we were going to arrive, and also advising us that the weather was very wet so to bring waterproofs! On arrival Helen was very friendly and warm and showed us straight to our room. Would definitely visit again. - Really nice, traditional and comfortable accommodation. Fantastic welcome by the landlady. We arrived dripping wet and she just took over and sorted all our wet gear for us. Bliss. The dog was treated like a special guest too! Fabulous breakfast. Sensible rates for solo rooms. - staff were really helpful, friendly and suggested places to eat (which we tried and enjoyed) breakfast was efficient and generous. The basement rooms we stayed in were tastefully furnished, and we had our own private entrance. This is a place to which we would readily return.

  We loved absolutely everything! The location overlooking Wensleydale is superb. The bedrooms are bright, warm and comfortable and the shower in the conservatory bedroom was one of the best I have ever used in a hotel. Last but very much not least, this is a very dog friendly hotel - We loved almost everything about The Stone House Hotel. The public spaces are charming and comfortable. Our room, one of the smallest, was tastefully refurbished and also very comfortable. The staff, Josh in particular, could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The location is excellent with a lovely one-mile walk across the fields down to the town.   Jane was really welcoming and helpful with local info including walks and very nicely dryed our wet walking stuff. We had the ground floor room which was large, had big bed and great shower. Would stay again. - Excellent 5 star accommodation with a warm friendly welcome from Jane and Simon. Breakfasts were delicious. The room had everything we could possibly need and was of a very high standard. Good walk recommendations (and maps) from Simon and advice of where to eat were much appreciated. This is the best b&b we have ever stayed at and is in a beautiful area with lots to do.

  The YHA in Hawes is exceptional and so many friendly people stayed at the same time as myself and sisters. The area is stunning and it a great place to stay if you walking the Pennine Way. My sisters and I use the YHA whenever we are able and will continue to do so. Thank you, your GREAT! - Location was spot on.
