Warm and comfortable with everything we could want. Stayed in Silverdale which was large with a gorgeous bathroom and comfortable bed. Great choice for breakfast. - Friendly atmosphere created by the staff and excellent servicethroughout. Rooms are very spacious and have recently been decorated toa high standard.

We loved Dave - he's hilarious although not always intentionally - very, very nice man, friendly, helpful & accommodating.
Breakfast was really good and didn't cost any extra, room was pretty decent, lots of tea & coffee etc. good location, comfy beds - couldn't really fault anything.

We had simply the best time here. A supremely comfortable room, in which we had our best two nights sleep of our whole holiday. The Derby Arms offers a full and delicous menu, fine wine, great beer, friendly people, historic bar surroundings with lots to look at. Lovely countryside to walk around. We loved the Derby Arms and would go back again. -

Stayed for a friday night, room was great, we had a shower room and it was big and the shower was excellent, plenty of hot water. Had a great meal, nice to see plenty of locals coming and going and their dogs! Very friendly atmosphere and would definately return.

El Desayuno; bueno, variado con una amplia oferta. El aparcamiento cómodo. No recomiendo este pueblo, Granger Over sands pues esta muy muerto incluso para ser Inglaterra, destino de gente muy mayor y tiene pocos servicios turisticos. Mejor Ambleside o Windermere mas animados y de mas servicios, y además mas centrados en el Lake District para todo.

I accidentally booked a twin room instead of a double via this website, sent them an email concerning this error, and my room was changed the next day and I was notified via a phone call. Excellent service all round. Also my bathroom had recently been refurbished by the looks of it and has a very nice jacuzzi bath. Nice. - Very friendly and helpful. Hotel room was excellent, very clean, everything we needed. The breakfast was superb, fresh fruit salad available, excellent. We got 3 nights for price of 2, fantastic value, couldn't have been better. Will return again

This is a very nice place to stay for sure. There are some very nice
touches such as the sherry in the room for guests. The bed was
exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. The property
is within walking distance to an excellent pub in town. We were here for
2 nights and enjoyed it very much. The couple who own the property also
board rescue dogs...the dogs are very friendly too. As mentioned in
another recommendation, they allow dogs, but you would not know it. The

We knew the distance hotel was from main tourist areas like Windermere. The hotel is down a long quiet country lane. The breakfast was "spot on". Thank you for your service. being at Broughton House is like being with family in that you have cate to look after you just like any good mum would when you go home.....and she cannot do enough for you,she is super happy and her cooking is legendary. We liked that we felt at home and our dog was made welcome. The breakfast was great food and loved fact we could say what time we would like to eat Bed really comfy and homemade biscuits and chocolate brownie was added bonus. Cate was clearly a people person, she was slightly eccentric which was endearing ( hope she doesn't mind me saying so ). She worked really hard to make sure we had everything we needed, even finding a recipe for hash browns for my husband Will definitely book again
