The hotel and staff were excellent the staff were friendly and very helpful.The setting was lovely and the hotel was very clean and everthing at hand in our room.The breakfast was very good a vast choice and presented very well. - The room was furnished and cleaned to a very high standard. Actually got a lovely large room with a proper double bed !!! largebathroom with plenty of space to store luggage .... unlike some of theother "discount bookings" where you end up with a tiny noisy room in thebasement............ Yes I actually had that.... Shaftsbury Metropolisin Hyde Park.... Tiny room, tiny bed with no windows.DON'T Go there !!!

Very well situated, easy to find. Stafff were very pleasent and helpful. The beds in the twin room were very comfortable. The Bumble Bee pub next door was very convient and excellent food. - friendly staff and on noticing my wife has walking limitations they relocated us to the ground floor. Also the pub /restaurant next door very good.

Well firstly i would like to say the barn is absolutely stunning, good old fashioned english craftmanship is always a winner with us. My wife and I both thought the girl doing bar duty and reception was 'just right' friendly, courteous and efficient and unflappable without being officious, well done her.
We especially liked the fact that we had the best night's sleep that we'd had for many nights, so something's right with the beds! We were amused that the very plain looking shower control delivered an immediate perfect temperature shower, with absolutely no fuss or bother! Unpretentious but had character and was clean.

The bed was amazing! And the staff were very helpful from start to finish - especially liked the new lass who was a trainee and had only been there a week! Sorry didn't get her name but her customer service was brill. But the same goes for the other front of house staff too :)
The shower was spacious and powerful.
The biggest bonus, as we were there on business and had early starts, was that the rooms are pretty much soundproof! Well done :)

Stayed in hotel for 2 nights in August for city break. Great central location with shops, restaurants and tourist sites all within easy walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff. Room had all facilities required, clean and modern. Would stay again on another visit to Gloucester.

We needed a base in the area while my son was on a cricket tour. It was just what we wanted. Breakfasts were great and set us up for the day. Staff were excellent, rooms basic but comfy. I found the hotel clean and comfortable. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Good food at the whittle Inn. I will stay at the Hotel again in the future. -
Clean tidy, good breakfast with all you can eat and plenty of choice. Close to many shops including Tesco extra and subway. Very close to Motorway.
